SoKo is Dead.

I’ve been listening to Soko all afternoon. She is incredible. Her music communicates an immense number of emotions. At only 21 born in Bordeaux, France as Stephanie Sokolinski. She started out as an actress appearing in several French movies. Then in 2006 she had a desire to sing, and this is where her journey began…it all started off with this song:

Soko’s infamous song “I’ll kill her” was a global success. It was featured in Stella McCartney’s Paris Fashion Week Show in (October 2007), played by radio DJ’s from all over the world and even managed to chart in several countries, without a “real” CD release. She is special. Gaining fame from the Internet and playing sold out concerts without any promotion. She is a star without a doubt!

Today I stumbled across her MySpace page and her username has been changed to “SoKo is dead”, her motto is “I QUIT” and her place of living is “Hell, France”. Could this seriously be the end of SoKo? Apparently it’s true she quotes a few lines HERE.

I feel so sad, I think she’s been through a lot and by the sounds of it, it does not sound good. I really hope she finds peace within her soul, everybody needs love I hope she finds it with light and reaches happiness some time soon.
