Charlee Drew and his debut home town show @ The Shed

Words can not explain how blown away I was with the ray of talent that was on show last Saturday night!
Charlee Drew a dear friend of mine had invited me to his first debut home town show @ the shed, extremely excited to see him perform along with other live acoustic bands the night was defiantly one to remember.

So the journey begins at 8pm, I drive down to Mr Drew’s to pick my lovely friend Nikki. On arrival (after 20min of frantic car park hunting…we finally make it) to our designated destination. Rachael Furner was first to be seen live on stage. For those of you who have not heard of her she is a 16year old girl from Northampton who is a singer songwriter. Rachael has been playing the piano since the age of 6 and writing songs since the age of 11. Currently she has been touring the UK playing gigs in the most unlikely of places. Seeing her in the Shed that night I thought Wow what a beauty, secondly amazing voice, powerful, soft and angelic. As she sat down playing the piano, singing her songs, Rachael would elucidate the thought process in which inspired her to write her songs it was so beautiful. I really felt the reality of her situation as she sang you could almost feel the heartache and emotion to what she had been through, it was real and that was the beauty of it, amazing!

Check her out…A STAR is born

Anyway next in line was my boy Charlee Drew, an extremely endearing character, having known Charlee for many years I have seen him grow into something beautiful! Formally part of a band called Freefall Felix, Charlee has now decided to pursue his musical career as a solo artist. A talented soul yet to be signed! Performing live Charlee Drew had the boys and girls screaming and jumping for joy once again. It was a pleasure to watch Charlee perform some of his own songs and various covers which all went down a treat! Especially the song Issues (Charlee made me and Nikki listen to this a million and 1 times!!) I’m not a big fan of the girl group as it’s not my usual preference of music but Charlee’s cocky version is quite cool I do like it. Click the link below and let me know what you think!

Apart from singing Mr drew also blessed us with a bit of stand up comedy, which was rather entertaining, I wish I recorded but my camera unfortunately ran out of memory :( Covering various issues including global warming, the world and how fucked it is and STI’s, Charlee rebelliously took the interacting with the audience thing to another level which was also quite fun! A perfect end to the night finishing with Charlee Drew I heart you!!

Anyway here are a few shots I managed to get…….

Also other great artists included Exit Avenue, SixPointFive and Jo Morrel please find the links below:

12am The after party then went on in a gay bar on Dover Street, pretty random but Dover Castle loved us…..

Overall a fantastic night... returning to my bed at 4AM what fun!

Peace/Love/Happydayz
