"We no longer look in the mirror and see ourselves. We see a broken façade. Hybrid identities and a plethora of ideas. The static landscape of London inspires with its architecture; but what you see is a perception. A mirror reflecting society, an echo of oneself".
Hemyca's SS/10 collection exudes summer in the city; crisp blue sky background for landscape harsh and sensual in equal measures, drops of sunshine showering the skin through the architectural maze. Equivocal in atmosphere and ambiguous in nature.
A fusion of sensuous shapes and clean cut lines, played out on menswear tailoring fabrics allows contradiction between chic city styles and soft summer silhouettes. Waist detail trousers and delicate satin camisoles, sultry playsuits and tailored summer dresses.
The perception is simple lines with structured undertones; the reality is femininity with a flirtatious kick
Meet my team, Backstage i was assisting stylist Valentina Tiurbini. i didn't get a chance to take many photographs which was a shame but to see the full collection please click HERE.
